Many memories are based around food – we've all got one. One of my earliest is the smell of onions on a hotdog at a fair with my dad – which one of my dishes is based around now – so telling stories through food is something I've always been keen on doing.
At Story, I want to share my memories with my diners through what they see, smell and taste on the plate, at the same time showcasing the best best seasonal, British produce. My hope is that the dishes will inspire them and create memories for them that last long after they have left the restaurant.
Diners are also invited to bring a book with them to leave with our ever-growing collection. Perhaps the next guest will find inspiration in the story that you shared with the restaurant as they look through the bookshelves – and so it continues.
